Ghanaian star, Mohammed Kudus has officially joined Tottenham Hotspur from West Ham United in a deal valued at approximately £55 million as he has officially signed a six-year contract that will keep him at Spurs until 2031 on July 10, 2025 .
Kudus has become Tottenham’s fourth most expensive signed ever trailor only Dominic Solanke, Tanguy Ndombele, and Richarlison which is marking the first direct transfer between Spurs and West Ham since Scott Parker’s switch in 2011.
Kudus made his mark at West Ham with 65 Premier League appearances, amassing 13 goals and nine assists, and earlier at Ajax, where he claimed Eredivisie titles and the Dutch Cup.
He has already expressed his excitement for the move as he has stated Tottenham’s history, project ambitions, and manager Thomas Frank’s player development vision were key deciding factors. Kudus praised his new club’s direction and promised to bring flair and direct attacking play to Spurs.
Spurs, under Frank, are on a spending spree this summer as Kudus is their fifth signing after names like Mathys Tel, Kevin Danso, Kota Takai, and Luka Vušković which highlights their intent to bounce back after a disappointing 17th placed Premier League finish in 2024–25 and recent UEFA Europa League glory.
Kudus could debut as soon as the preseason friendly against Reading on July 19, and many be expected to feature in the opening Premier League match against Burnley on August 16.
