First School in Kumawu Constituency to Visit Parliament House Inspires Students to Dream Bigger
Bodomase St. Stephen RC Junior High School in the Sekyere-Kumawu District on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 has etched its name into the history books by becoming the first school in the Kumawu Constituency to embark on an educational tour of the Parliament House of Ghana. The landmark visit provided students with a rare opportunity to witness the country’s legislative processes firsthand while interacting with some of Ghana’s most distinguished lawmakers.
The delegation of Bodomase St. Stephen RC JHS received a warm welcome from the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Member of Parliament for the Fomena Constituency, Hon. Andrew Asiamah Amoako, who officially introduced the students on the floor of Parliament. In his remarks, he encouraged the students to remain focused on their education, reminding them that they are the future leaders of Ghana and could one day occupy seats in Parliament to serve the nation.
The Member of Parliament for Kumawu Constituency, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, also accorded the school a memorable reception. The delegation further toured the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, where they learnt about the life, vision, and enduring legacy of Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
