The Government of Ghana has issued a press statement informing the general public of its intention to hold discussions with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) team regarding the 2025 Budget.

According to the statement, the Government of Ghana will engage with the IMF team, led by its Mission Chief for Ghana, Stephane Roudet, from Monday, February 10, to Friday, February 14, 2025.

The discussions will primarily focus on Ghana’s progress under the IMF-supported programme and the government’s policy direction for the 2025 Budget. Other key areas of discussion will include revenue administration reforms, energy sector reforms, expenditure rationalization, and monetary and exchange rate policies.

The statement further indicated that the Bank of Ghana, the Ghana Revenue Authority, the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department, and other key institutions are expected to participate in the scheduled meetings.

The release also assured the public of the government’s commitment to prioritizing macroeconomic stability, job creation, and improved livelihoods for the people of Ghana.
