The Minister for Ghana’s Trade, Agribusiness, and Industries, Hon. Elizabeth Agyare-Ofosu, has reaffirmed her government’s commitment to boosting industrial growth in Ghana. During her working visit of the Ashanti Region on Friday, March 14 the Minister held discussions centered on key trade and commerce initiatives, including the Boankra Inland Port, Suame Magazine, and the Ejisu Free Zones project.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene hosted the Trade Minister at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council.












According to the Madam Agyare-Ofosu, the projects at the center of the discussion are expected to play a critical role in positioning the Ashanti as a major economic hub. She said the Boankra Inland Port, once fully operational, will enhance trade facilitation and ease congestion at Ghana’s seaports, while Suame Magazine remains a strategic industrial cluster for vehicle repairs and manufacturing. The Ejisu Free Zones project is also set to attract foreign and local investment, creating jobs and boosting economic activity in the region.
Hon. Agyare-Ofosu emphasized the importance of collaboration among government, industry players, and local stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives. She expressed confidence that with sustained effort, Ashanti Region will witness significant economic transformation in the coming years.
