President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 71 Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended. The nominations, covering eight out of Ghana’s 16 regions, await approval by the respective Local Assemblies.
