The Ghana Education Service (GES) has ended a virtual 10-day capacity-building workshop for Heads and Procurement Officers of Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools (SHS/SHTS), running from March 10th to March 20th. This workshop is designed to equip participants with essential procurement management skills, particularly following the government’s new directive that mandates schools to procure food items at the local level. The training covers key topics such as procurement planning, preparation of tender documents, framework agreements, contract management, and more. GES remains dedicated to strengthening the capacity of school leaders and procurement officers to ensure the efficient and effective management of school resources
