Ethiopian Airlines has unveiled plans to construct one of Africa’s largest airports near Bishoftu, backed by a $7.8 billion agreement with the African Development Bank Group. Slated for completion by 2029, the airport will feature four runways and accommodate 100 million passengers annually, positioning Ethiopia as a major aviation hub in Eastern Africa.
