At a meeting in Accra on April 8, 2025, Finance Minister Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson disclosed that the Ministry of Finance owes over GH¢67 billion in arrears to 23 ministries. He pledged to settle the debts only after the Auditor-General provides a comprehensive audit report verifying all claims and commencement warrants.
