Running mate for the NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has received copies of the latest book authored by investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni. He took the books on behalf of his ‘boss’, Alhaji Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia. According a post sighted on the official facebook of Dr. Prempeh, Dr. Bawumia’s copies were collected by one of his close associates.
In a brief interaction during the presentation, Dr. Opoku Prempeh expressed confidence in his candidate’s unwavering commitment to combating corruption, describing it as a critical component of good governance. He emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s clear stance on the issue, noting that he is determined to fight corruption impartially and resolutely, citing his track record of incorruptibility.
He further called on Manasseh Azure Awuni and the media fraternity to exercise caution and responsibility in their reportage and expression of opinions, particularly as the nation continues to advance its democratic processes.
NAPO as he is affectionately called, also stated that Dr. Bawumia looks forward to reading the book and gaining insight into its content. He gave the assurance that their doors remain open for open and transparent discussions on any topic that aims to contribute to the nation’s progress.
