The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially issued the 2024/2025 Academic Year Calendar for Pre-Tertiary schools.
According to the letter, the academic year for Second Cycle Institutions under the 2023/2024 schedule is expected to conclude on Wednesday, October 28, 2024.
This marks the end of the current academic year, after which the Second Cycle Institutions will commence the 2024/2025 Academic Year on October 30, 2024.
This adjustment has been deemed necessary to revert the academic calendar to the traditional September start for subsequent years, ensuring a more consistent academic schedule.
It is also important to state that Basic Schools have already started their 2024/2025 Academic Year on September 10, 2024.
Management of GES directed Regional Directors to communicate to all Heads of the Second Cycle Institutions to ensure full implementation.
