The Chief of Staff has summoned Sammy Gyamfi, CEO of the Ghana Gold Board, following the circulation of a viral video showing him handing over a cash gift to evangelist and former fetish priestess, Nana Agradaa.
The footage, which has been widely shared on social media, shows Mr Gyamfi presenting an undisclosed amount of foreign currency, believed to be US dollars to Patricia Oduro Koranteng, known publicly as Nana Agradaa.

The incident has sparked public outcry and raised concerns about the ethical standards expected of public officials, especially in light of President Mahama’s recent launch of a Code of Conduct to guide the behaviour of government appointees.
In a statement, Mr Gyamfi described the gesture as a personal act of generosity with no political intent, saying he regrets the misunderstanding caused by the video.
Sources close to the Presidency say the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, views the matter seriously and has requested an explanation to assess whether any breaches of public service ethics occurred.
The government has not issued an official statement beyond confirming that the incident is under review.
