His Lordship Paul Kwadwo Baffoe-Bonnie, the Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana, and other members of the Judiciary have paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Education in Accra.
Chief Justice Baffoe-Bonnie was accompanied by the Learned Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine; Justice Gabriel Scott Pwamang; and Dr. Raymond A. Atuguba.
According to reports, the visit to the Ministry of Education in Accra forms part of efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration between the Judiciary and the education sector.
The visit provided an opportunity for engagement and discussions on matters of mutual interest, particularly the role of education in promoting justice, the rule of law, and national development.
The Chief Justice emphasized the importance of legal education, civic responsibility, and ethical training within Ghana’s educational system, noting that a well-informed citizenry is fundamental to sustaining democracy and respect for the rule of law.
Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister of Education, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Justice and his team for the visit, especially for highlighting the need for citizens to be well informed about the fundamentals of Ghana’s democracy and the rule of law.
