Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, commonly referred to as NAPO, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), had the pleasure of meeting the NPP delegates at the Manhyia South Constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The meeting marked a significant moment in his engagement with the constituency’s delegates since his appointment as the presidential running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the 2024 general elections.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh expressed his excitement and gratitude to the delegates, reflecting on his tenure as the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South. He emphasized that his selection as the running mate was a recognition of the immense trust and confidence that the NPP leadership and the party members had in the Manhyia South Constituency.
During the meeting, Dr. NAPO took the opportunity to commend the delegates for the successful parliamentary primary election that resulted in the selection of Lawyer Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah as the new Parliamentary Candidate for Manhyia South. He acknowledged the smooth and democratic process, serving as a demonstration to the constituency’s commitment to upholding the values of the NPP.
As part of their engagement, Dr. Opoku Prempeh urged the delegates to campaign aggressively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s presidential candidate. He stressed the importance of justifying the trust placed in the constituency by working tirelessly to ensure a resounding victory for both Dr. Bawumia in the presidential race and Lawyer Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah in the parliamentary election.
