Dubai Haircutting Machine Videos Go Viral – But Are They Real?

Social media has been flooded with short clips claiming to show a futuristic “Dubai Haircutting Machine 3.0” The pod-like devices in the circulating videos scan the customer’s head, sucks in the hair, and gives an instant fresh cut using artificial intelligence. In these videos, users either sit inside a capsule or place their heads inside the robotic dome while the machine appears to trim or restyle their hair automatically.

The clips, often tagged as AI Haircut Machine 3.0 or Dubai barber pod, are going viral especially on Tik Tok, with many viewers convinced that the technology already exists in Dubai’s luxury grooming spaces.

One popular video shows a helmet-like device gliding over a man’s head, trimming his hair with robotic precision giving him a super neat cut in the end.

But here comes the BIG question….

Are these AI Haircutting Machines Real?

As I do this post, there is no evidence that such machines exist in Dubai or anywhere else. Digital analysts and several fact-checkers confirm that the videos were created using advanced AI video-generation tools. The movements, reflections, and transitions in the clips studied carefully match the common artifacts of AI-generated content rather than real mechanical robotics.

Meanwhile, online reactions have been a mix of excitement, confusion, and humor. Some users have commented that the invention looked “revolutionary,” while others are saying it reminds them of scene from sci-fi disaster movies. A number of viewers are already calling it out as AI-generated.

Let us note that these days, anyone can now produce highly realistic visuals without any engineering expertise.

AI tools have made it extremely easy to fabricate convincing technology demonstrations, leading many people to mistake novelty videos for real innovation. As viral content becomes harder to verify, I feel that digital literacy has become very important than ever before.

For now, the Dubai Haircutting Machine 3.0 remains nothing more than a viral AI creation not an actual breakthrough in grooming technology.

This is not to say that the technology or the process in the viral videos is not possible. Remember that automated shaving, styling guides, and AI-assisted salon tools already exist. So my point is not to doubt the possibility of the inclusion or involvement of robotics in grooming.

My point however is that as of today, there exist no such full implementation without human supervision. Don’t forget that the idea of a fully autonomous machine cutting human hair at high speed without human supervision still presents major safety and accuracy challenges.
