The National Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially presented its report to the 2024 Election Review Committee.
The report was submitted at the Party’s Headquarters on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, during a brief presentation ceremony. The submission forms part of the Election Review Committee’s ongoing efforts to gather comprehensive insights on the party’s performance in the recently concluded general elections.
The presentation was made by prominent members of the National Council of Elders, including Hon. Hackman Owusu-Agyemang, Chairman of the National Council of Elders; Prof. Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi; Ing. Dr. Abease; and Dr. Glover-Quartey. The formal presentation of the document was led by Prof. Ameyaw-Akumfi, who highlighted the key elements of the report during the meeting.
The report contains the Council’s critical observations, assessments, and perspectives on the NPP’s performance in the 2024 elections. It also provides a detailed analysis of the challenges encountered, as well as the strengths and weaknesses identified during the electoral process.
Additionally, the document outlined key recommendations and strategic proposals aimed at enhancing the party’s organizational structure, strengthening grassroots participation, and improving future electoral outcomes.
The Election Review Committee expressed its appreciation to the National Council of Elders for their invaluable contributions and emphasized its commitment to engaging all relevant stakeholders as part of its comprehensive review process.
The Committee assured that the insights and recommendations provided would be carefully considered in shaping the party’s strategies for future elections.
