Mr. Akwasi Boakye Donates Exercise Books and Pens to the Sekyere Methodist JHS

Mr. Akwasi Boakye, an old student of Sekyere Methodist Junior High School (JHS) in the Sekyere Kumawu District, has generously donated exercise books, note books and pens to the school.

The donation took place on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the school premises, where staff and students gathered to receive the supplies.

Reports indicate that Mr. Boakye, who currently resides in the United States, has a history of supporting his alma mater through similar donations over the years. His ongoing commitment to giving back to the school has been greatly appreciated by the staff and students. Mr. Boakye also donated some undisclosed amount of cash to the school as well.

During the event, Mr. Boakye encouraged the students to be disciplined and to approach their studies with seriousness in order to achieve their future aspirations. He emphasized the importance of education and how it can serve as a foundation for success in life.

Mr. Bernard Boadi, the Headteacher of Sekyere Methodist JHS, received the items on behalf of the school. Mr. Boadi further appealed to Mr. Boakye for additional support in the future, highlighting the needs of the school and the students.

All the students were delighted to receive one each for the note book, exercise book and a pen, which they accepted with joy and appreciation.
