Hon. Edem Agbana Announces Scholarships for 400 Tertiary Students

Edem Agbana Tertiary Scholarship Scheme

Hon. Eric Edem Agbana has announced the second cohort of his scholarship initiative for 400 students in the Ketu North Constituency.

Details of what he shared on his official Facebook page are provided below:

“On Sunday, 22nd March, 400 tertiary students from my beloved Ketu North Constituency will receive scholarships covering between 60% and 100% of their academic fees.

These beneficiaries were selected after a very meticulous screening and interview process.

It has been demanding, rigorous, and expensive, but deeply fulfilling because it directly changes lives.

Last year, with the support of a few friends and some organizations, we invested over 1.3 million Ghana cedis to support the education of young people from our constituency.

At the awards ceremony last year, the donors were publicly acknowledged. (We run a very transparent system).

Since then, I have personally set aside 50 percent of my salary to sustain this initiative. Even with that commitment, the need is still greater than the resources available.

This is why we continue to count on the support of individuals, friends, and organizations who believe, as I do, that investing in the education of our young people is the most powerful investment we can make in the future of Ketu North.

From this evening, I will share flyers of our special guests for this year’s awards ceremony.

Thank you.”
