Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, the Member of Parliament for the Ketu North Constituency in Ghana, has officially opened for application of the Edem Agbana Scholarship Scheme. This initiative fulfills his campaign promise to support needy students in the constituency, particularly those pursuing tertiary education.
Hon. Edem Agbana had pledged to establish this scholarship scheme following the 2024 Parliamentary and Presidential elections. As a way of staying true to his word, he has announced the opening of applications for the first quarter of 2025.
According to Hon. Agbana, interested applicants are required to download the application form online via https://gqr.sh/P98n and submit the completed form to their Assembly Member or NDC Ward Chairman within their electoral area. He further stated that hard copies of the application form would be available starting Monday, 13th January 2025, at the NDC Constituency Office and with Assembly Members across the constituency.
The MP emphasized that the scholarship is need-based, targeting students with financial challenges who demonstrate potential for academic success. To ensure transparency and fairness, a dedicated board will thoroughly review each application before making selections and disbursing funds.
The Edem Agbana Scholarship Scheme represents a significant step towards empowering young people in Ketu North by alleviating financial barriers to higher education. It reflects the MP’s dedication to fostering human capital development within his constituency and creating opportunities for future leaders.
