Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, has revealed that over 70,000 passports have not been collected at Ghana’s Passport Office.

The Minister emphasized that this outrageous number of passports remains at the Passport Office due to the frustrations many Ghanaians experience when applying for a passport.

He further stated that many individuals eventually give up on following up to collect their passports.

“Frustration makes many passport applicants give up,” he stressed.

The Minister assured Ghanaians of the yet-to-be-implemented e-trackable delivery system via courier across all 16 regions of Ghana.

Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa indicated that the e-trackable delivery system, set to be launched on Monday, April 28, 2025, will be convenient and is expected to end the current challenges.
