Some residents in Kumawu have expressed their strong support for Shamsu Huda as their preferred candidate for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE). According to these residents, Shamsu Huda is the best-qualified individual among the six candidates vying for the DCE role in the Kumawu District.
In exclusive interviews with GH Educate, several members of the community shared their thoughts, emphasizing Huda’s extensive experience and leadership capabilities. They indicated that, Huda, served as a former government appointee and is currently serving as the Deputy Secretary for the Kumawu Constituency. His tenure in these roles has helped him develop a profound understanding of the local governance system and the needs of the people. His experience has built a foundation of trust and respect among the residents, who believe he is well-equipped to lead the District.
In addition to his experience, residents have highlighted Huda’s personal qualities. They described him as a modest and humble individual with a deep sense of service to the Constituency. This humility, they argue, is reflected in his willingness to listen to the concerns of the people and take action that benefits the community. His leadership style, according to these residents, is characterized by a genuine desire to improve the lives of his constituents rather than seeking personal gain or recognition.
Information received suggests that, Huda has since 2009, served as the Constituency Elections and Research Officer, and this long-standing involvement has further solidified his relationship with the people of Kumawu. “Over the years, he has demonstrated his commitment to the success and development of the constituency, earning him the respect and admiration of both local residents and party members”, the people emphasized.
It is on the basis of these experiences, values, and achievements that many residents of Kumawu are calling on His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, along with the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to consider Shamsu Huda for the position of District Chief Executive. The people believe that his track record, coupled with his dedication to public service, makes him the ideal candidate to lead the District and continue advancing its development.
This optimism is not only present among the residents but also among some members of the NDC Party and Assembly Members in the District. These individuals have also voiced their support for Huda, reinforcing the widespread belief that he is the best choice for the role of DCE.
The backing from various stakeholders reflects the unity and shared vision for the future of Kumawu under his leadership.
