Former Presidential Aide to the late President Mills of Ghana, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has said he will not speak publicly on conversations he had with the late President John Evans Atta-Mills regarding a petition that sought the removal of then Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Wood.
“I’m not granting interviews on what President Atta-Mills told me vis the petition to remove CJ Georgina Wood. Some things are best kept unsaid,”

His comments come in the wake of renewed attention on the office of the Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkornoo following a letter issued on Tuesday, 22nd April, 2025 from the Presidency announcing that President John Mahama had suspended the current Chief Justice of the supreme court of Ghana after setting up a committee to probe a petition for her removal.
In an earlier post, Anyidoho had recalled that there was pressure on President Atta-Mills to sack Chief Justice Georgina Wood, but said he would keep the former President’s words to himself.
“I remember what President Atta-Mills said when there was pressure on him to sack CJ, Georgina Theodora Wood. I keep the words to myself. God bless our Homeland Ghana,”

Anyidoho’s comments have drawn public interest, though he has not linked them directly to the latest developments under President Mahama.
