Ghana’s Vice President Congratulates Namibian President, H.E. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah

Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on her inauguration as the President of Namibia.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang was made to represent H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the President of Ghana, at the swearing-in ceremony held on Friday, March 21, 2025. The event, which took place in Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, brought together distinguished leaders, diplomats, and dignitaries from across Africa and beyond to witness this historic moment.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang highlighted the significance of the event, noting that H.E. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah’s ascension to the presidency marked a remarkable milestone as she becomes Namibia’s first female Head of State. She emphasized that her leadership stands as a testament to the strength, resilience, and determination of African women in governance and leadership.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang further extended her best wishes to President Nandi-Ndaitwah, expressing confidence in her ability to steer Namibia towards greater progress and development.
