Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, the Member of Parliament for Effutu Municipality and the Minority Leader in Parliament, has donated 100 mattresses to the Winneba Municipal Hospital to enhance healthcare delivery in the constituency.
The presentation was made on his behalf by the Effutu Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman on Thursday, February 20, 2025. This initiative reflects Hon. Afenyo-Markin’s unwavering commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and ensuring better patient care within the municipality.

During the presentation, the MCE emphasized that Hon. Afenyo-Markin remains dedicated to supporting the local healthcare system and contributing to efforts aimed at preventing the spread of cholera and other communicable diseases in the community. He further highlighted the MP’s belief that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right that every Ghanaian should enjoy, especially his constituents in Effutu. The MCE reassured the hospital management of Hon. Afenyo-Markin’s continuous support in equipping health facilities with the necessary resources to provide excellent medical care.

The management of Winneba Municipal Hospital received the donation with immense gratitude and expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Afenyo-Markin through the MCE and the Constituency Chairman. They acknowledged that the donation would significantly improve patient comfort and enhance the overall quality of healthcare services at the facility.
