Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was honored to join CEOs and key players in the private sector at the maiden edition of the CEOs’ Presidential Manifesto Gala in Accra. The event took place on Thursday, November 7, 2024, in Accra.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized that, as a key advocate for private sector inclusion in national administration, he was truly excited to share his bold and transformative policies for businesses with the CEOs and other stakeholders, while also listening to their innovative and dynamic ideas.
According to Dr. Bawumia, he strongly believes in the private sector as the engine of economic growth and reiterated his commitment to implementing bold, business-friendly policies to foster sustainable growth in the sector, which is indispensable for the country’s economic advancement, when elected President on December 7.
He highlighted policies that include a new, business-friendly tax regime, tax amnesty for businesses, a simple and easy-to-understand flat tax rate, electronic and user-friendly tax filing, flat import duties in cedis, benchmarking import duties with neighboring Togo, empowering the private sector to undertake public infrastructure projects, and abolishing the e-levy, among others.
With my strong commitment to the private sector, I urge CEOs and private sector members to place their trust in me, as I will be accountable to them and to all Ghanaians.
