The Eastern Regional Education Directorate of the Ghana Education Service has honored its exemplary teachers through the 2024 Outstanding Achievement Awards. The event, themed “Inspiring Change: Recovery Begins With Teachers,” took place on Thursday, 8th August 2024, at the Center for National Culture in Koforidua. The ceremony was graced by distinguished personalities, including His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana; Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana; Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong, the Eastern Regional Minister; Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister of Education; Dr. Eric Nkansah, the Director General of the Ghana Education Service; and Mrs. Ivy Asantewa Owusu (PhD), the Eastern Regional Education Director and host of the program, among others.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address from Mrs. Ivy Asantewa Owusu (PhD), who expressed her gratitude to everyone present.
