Hon. Osei Yaw Adutwum, the Member of Parliament for the Bosomtwe Constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, has donated GH₵100,000 and 200 bags of cement to Adum PZ market traders affected by the recent devastating fire outbreak.
According to reports, this was the MP’s first visit to the market following the fire that ravaged Adum PZ on March 21, 2025, destroying the investments and livelihoods of many traders.
“I was saddened to see how years of struggle by the traders to build their businesses had gone down the drain as a result of the inferno,” Adutwum stated.

Hon. Yaw Adutwum emphasized the need for sustained fire safety education in markets and public places across the country to help prevent a recurrence of such devastating disasters.
“It is my conviction, as a Member of Parliament from the Ashanti Region, to contribute my widow’s mite to help ameliorate the impact on the businesses of the victims, who require all the support they can get to get back on their feet,” Adutwum emphasized.
The MP encouraged the traders not to give up, urging them to work closely with the relevant authorities to rebuild. He further assured them of his continued support during these difficult times.
