Madam Mabel Judith Micah, the Regional Education Director for the Savannah Region, was announced dead on Friday, 27th September 2024.
Reports indicate that Madam Micah was involved in a serious accident last year while traveling to Accra to procure supplies. Following the accident, she was rushed to the hospital, where she had been battling injuries sustained from the incident. The accident sadly claimed the life of the regional storekeeper for the Savannah Region, who was in the same vehicle.
Madam Mabel Judith Micah’s untimely passing has left her family, the Savannah Regional Education Directorate, and the entire Ghana Education Service (GES) in deep sorrow. Her death has created a vacuum, not only in her family but also within the educational sector, where she played a significant role in overseeing education in the region.
The Management of GES has expressed their profound grief over the loss of Madam Micah. In an official statement, they extended their heartfelt condolences to her family, colleagues, and all those affected by her passing. They also acknowledged the hard work and dedication that Madam Mabel brought to her role as Regional Education Director and the impact she made during her tenure.
As the education fraternity mourns this great loss, the GES family, along with the people of Savannah Region, will remember her for her commitment and contributions to improving education.
