The management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital is pleased to announce to the general public the reopening of the Outpatient Renal Dialysis Services, effective immediately.
The letter stated that this prompt reopening has been made possible by the recent delivery of essential consumables, which were airlifted into the country on Monday, August 19, 2024.
The Renal Dialysis Unit has therefore already scheduled patients to start their dialysis sessions on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
It was emphasized in the letter that, apart from this emergency consignment, the Ministry of Finance has granted a tax waiver to expedite the clearance of the second container at the Tema port.
The management of the hospital anticipates receiving these additional supplies within the week, which will further strengthen the availability of essential consumables for our services.
The hospital expresses its profound gratitude to the Ministries of Health, Finance, and other stakeholders for ensuring the timely availability of these consumables. They also extended their heartfelt appreciation to the renal patients for their patience and cooperation during this period.
