A young man identified as Ebenezer Frimpong has been arrested after allegedly attempting to steal a Police armoured vehicle in broad daylight at Nkawie Market. The unusual incident has sparked concern among residents and raised questions about security protocols.

According to reports, the police driver had briefly stepped out to purchase medication, leaving the vehicle’s engine running. Seizing the opportunity, the suspect reportedly jumped into the armoured vehicle and drove off, creating a tense situation in the busy market area.
A police patrol team quickly responded and pursued the suspect, leading to a swift chase. The suspect was eventually intercepted and apprehended by a Ghana Police Service team before he could escape.

Further reports indicate that he was later arrested by a SWAT team at Mim, where the vehicle was successfully retrieved and secured without damage.
