The Ghana Library Authority has announced extended working hours for the National Children and Mobile Library, effective Monday, 18th August 2025.
The extension is aimed at providing better access to research and reading services for the public, particularly students, researchers, and lifelong learners who rely on library facilities.
Under the new arrangement, the library will open from 8am to 8pm on Mondays to Fridays, and from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays. Patrons will continue to have access to reading rooms, computer labs, study areas, as well as lending and reference services.
Management of the Ghana Library Authority says the move is part of efforts to make libraries more accessible and responsive to the needs of the community.

The Authority is encouraging the public to take full advantage of the extended hours, stressing that libraries remain a vital hub for knowledge acquisition and personal development.
