Newly Recruited Ghana Education Staff have been cleared to Resume Work After Successful Validation
The Ashanti Regional Education Directorate has issued a communique regarding the status of newly recruited staff whose appointments were previously revoked after the 2024 general elections. This comes as good news to affected individuals, many of whom had been left in limbo for months.

Following an authorization from the Acting Director-General of the GES, the Ashanti Regional Directorate has confirmed that all staff who went through the validation exercise without any issues have been cleared to return to work – provided they were issued a posting letter from the Regional Office.
A memo has therefore been sent to all district directors and HRs to act in accordance. The memo clearly state the following:
- Validated recruits with no issues and a posting letter are to report to their current schools and continue working.
- Those who were earlier posted but were asked to hold on due to the revocation and later validated can now resume duties at their assigned schools.
- Recruits posted to schools where there were no vacancies should report to the Regional Office with their reposting letters for new directives.
- Staff who went through validation but were returned or sacked due to the earlier revocation are also to report to the Regional Office for reposting.
- Individuals who could not submit their appointment letters before the suspension and have since completed validation are urged to submit all documents immediately to the Regional Office.
- For those who have already submitted documents and have no issues, calls will soon be made for them to pick up their files and report to their schools.
However, staff validated with issues will remain on hold until further notice.
It will be recalled that after the December 7, 2024 elections, many newly recruited education staff had their appointments abruptly revoked, pending investigations. This move caused significant frustration and uncertainty, as affected staff were asked to stay at home. They were later invited for a validation process to verify their eligibility.
The Directorate urges anyone facing issues under the categories outlined to report through their District Director or Head of School for redress.
