Do you remember Keche? Keche is a popular music duo who gained massive fame with hit songs like “Aluguntuguin”, “Pressure”, “Sokode”, “Ring My Bell” in the early 2000s. Lately they have had equally hit songs like “No Dulling” with Kuami Eugene, “Good Mood” with Fameye, “Party of the Year” with Mr. Drew and a host of other songs with talent and popular artists.
The music duo have expressed their frustration after reaching out to King Paluta to promote their new collaboration single track with him (King Paluta) . They had hoped that the “new kid on the block” will promote the said song on his personal Facebook page. Keche howerver got hightly disappointed when King Paluta’s team informed them that any promotional posts would only be made on his secondary facebook page, the “@KingPaluta Army”, instead of his main account.
This response did not sit well with Keche Joshua and his partner, who felt their relationship with King Paluta was not being respected. Already Known for their numerous hit songs since their debut, the duo voiced their discontent over how the situation was handled.
Joshua took to social media to describe the lack of support as “disrespectful.” He makes reference to other songs he (King Paluta) has done with other artistes like Sister Afia, Eno Baroni and Tulenke which gained massive publicity from the “Makoma” hitmaker.
He also highlighted a growing trend among some Ghanaian upcoming artists, particularly younger ones, who, after achieving a few hits, begin to exhibit an inflated sense of self-importance.
Joshua implied that such attitudes are detrimental to collaboration efforts and the overall spirit of the music community.
