The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK), has openly admitted that the party made mistakes during its time in government and assured Ghanaians that the NPP is ready to correct them if given another chance in the 2028 elections.
Speaking directly to supporters, JFK didn’t shy away from the frustrations many have expressed in recent years from economic struggles to missed promises. “We understand that people feel let down,” he said. “And honestly, we accept the blame.”
In a tone that felt more like a conversation than a campaign speech, JFK emphasized that the NPP has learned valuable lessons and is working behind the scenes to rebuild public trust. He promised that the party will approach the next elections with humility, honesty, and a renewed commitment to the people.
“We’re not perfect,” he added. “But we’re determined to make things right.”
His comments have sparked mixed reactions, some see it as a genuine step toward healing, while others remain cautious.
The NPP is supposedly seen to have admitted their mistakes and trying to render a rare apology to the general public.
