Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minister for Finance, has engaged Chief Directors and Audit Heads on how to decisively implement the recommendations of the 2024 Audit Report.
During the meeting, the Finance Minister stated, “We cannot continue to lose scarce national resources through infractions that are completely avoidable.”
Hon. Ato Forson expressed concern about the persistent waste that continues to send the wrong signals about our nation and risks undermining the peace, stability, and confidence Ghanaians have worked so hard to restore.
He also informed the Chief Directors and key audit heads across ministries, departments, and agencies that a clear and decisive path has been charted for implementing the recommendations of the 2024 Audit Report.
“We cannot continue to lose scarce national resources through infractions that are completely avoidable. Ghana truly deserves better,” he emphasized.
According to Ato Forson, the new chapter of Ghana will no longer treat accountability as optional but as a vital requirement and necessity.
He concluded by stressing that discipline in public financial management is not just a requirement-it is a duty owed to every Ghanaian.
