CAF has donated over $14 million to Côte d’Ivoire for successfully hosting the 2023 AFCON, which was drawn from its legacy fund. CAF President Patrice Motsepe stated that the funds will support football development in the country. The tournament, which took place between January and February 2024, saw Côte d’Ivoire not only host but also emerge as champions.
