Nana Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana, has terminated the appointment of Mr. Dodzie Numekevor as the Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA). The decision was communicated in a letter signed by the Secretary to the President, dated Tuesday, 17th September 2024.

The letter directed Mr. Numekevor to vacate his position immediately, and he was instructed to hand over his duties to the Chairman of the Governing Board of the NSA, who was also copied on the correspondence. The directive stated that Mr. Numekevor should ensure the handover and cease all functions as Director-General by the close of business on 17th September 2024.

The letter from the Presidency further expressed appreciation for Mr. Numekevor’s service to the nation and extended the President’s best wishes to him in his future endeavors.

Mr. Numekevor’s tenure as Director-General of the NSA is thus brought to an abrupt end following the President’s directive.
