The National Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party has issued a press release to notify the general public of the confirmation of Dr. Tia Abdul-Kabiru Mahama as the Parliamentary Candidate for the Walewale Constituency in the December 2024 elections.
Details of the letter are provided below:
“The National Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party, at its meeting held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, unanimously confirmed Dr. Tia Abdul-Kabiru Mahama as the Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Walewale constituency.
The decision was arrived at, following the withdrawal of Hon. Lariba Zuweira Abudu, incumbent Member of Parliament and one of the two aspirants, from the parliamentary primary contest.
This resulted in Dr. Tia Abdul-Kabiru Mahama, becoming the sole aspirant for the contest. The Party regards in high esteem, the decision of Hon. Zuweira to bow out of the race and appeals to all stakeholders of the Walewale constituency to offer their unflinching support to the candidacy of Dr. Tia Abdul-Kabiru Mahama.
