The Ministry of Education will host Ghana’s first-ever national conference on Artificial Intelligence to explore the gains, prospects, and challenges for the country.
Honourable Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister for Education, made the announcement during the commissioning of a teachers’ accommodation facility at Accra Girls Senior High School on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
According to the Minister, the conference will be held in November 2025. He indicated that the event is expected to bring together stakeholders to discuss how Ghana can strategically prepare for the disruptions and advancements brought about by AI.
Discussions will also focus on the introduction of foundational technology subjects into the basic education curriculum, the Minister stated.
Hon. Iddrisu emphasized that the Ministry of Education is committed to digitizing education and preparing the next generation of students for a technology-driven future.
