Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, PhD, FGA

Vice President – Ghana
Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is a distinguished academic, administrator, and public servant. She served as Chancellor of the Women’s University in Africa (2018–2024) and was Ghana’s first female Vice Chancellor, leading the University of Cape Coast (2008–2012). As Minister for Education (2013–2017), she implemented reforms to improve access and quality in Ghana’s education sector. A two-time Fulbright scholar, she holds a BA in French and English, an MA, and a PhD in Literature from York University, Canada. Professor Opoku-Agyemang has received numerous honors, including the Officer of the Order of the Volta for Academic Distinction, multiple honorary doctorates, and international leadership awards. She is a Life Fellow of the Commonwealth of Learning and a Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences. John Abdulai Jinapor (MP)

Minister for Energy and Green Transition – Ghana
Born on June 8, 1979, in Buipe, Ghana, is a prominent Ghanaian politician affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He has been serving as the Member of Parliament for the Yapei-Kusawgu constituency since 2017. Jinapor’s educational background is extensive. He attended Ghana Senior High School in Tamale and later earned a bachelor’s degree from the University for Development Studies. He holds a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management, an MBA in Marketing, and a Master of Science in Development Finance from the University of Ghana. Additionally, he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Financial Law from the University of London in 2015 and a Master of Science in Energy Economics from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in 2021. In his political career, Jinapor served as the Deputy Minister of Energy from 2013 to 2017 under President John Dramani Mahama. In January 2025, he was nominated as the Minister for Energy.
Dr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine (MP)

Minister for Justice & Attorney General – Ghana
Born on January 6, 1966, in Zuarungu, Upper East Region of Ghana, is a distinguished Ghanaian politician and legal expert. He represents the Bolgatanga East Constituency in Parliament under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and has been serving since 2012. Dr. Ayine’s academic journey is notable. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Ghana in 1995, followed by a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Economic Law from the University of Michigan Law School in 1998. He further pursued an LLM in International Trade Law in 2003 and a Doctor of the Science of Law (JSD) in Trade and Democracy in 2006, both from Stanford University Law School. In his professional career, Dr. Ayine has served as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Ghana, and as Deputy Attorney-General and Minister for Justice. In January 2025, he was nominated by President John Dramani Mahama as the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice. Beyond his political and academic endeavors, Dr. Ayine is the founder and senior partner at Ayine and Partners, a law firm where he has practiced for over 25 years.
Haruna Iddrisu (MP)

Minister for Education – Ghana
Born on September 8, 1970, in Tamale, Ghana, is a prominent Ghanaian lawyer and politician affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He has been serving as the Member of Parliament for the Tamale South constituency since January 2005. Iddrisu began his early education at Kulikuli School in Tamale. He pursued higher education at the University of Ghana from 1993 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Sociology. During his time at the university, he was actively involved in student politics and served as the President of the National Union of Ghana Students in his final year. In his professional career, Iddrisu has held several significant positions. He was appointed as the Minister of Communications in February 2009 after retaining his parliamentary seat in the December 2008 national elections. He has also served as the Minister for Employment and Labour Relations. In January 2025, he was nominated as the Minister of Education.

He has been serving as the Member of Parliament for the Asunafo South Constituency since 2004. Opoku earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Abla Dzifa Gomashie (MP)

Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts – Ghana
Abla Dzifa Gomashie, born on July 25, 1965, in Aflao, Volta Region, Ghana, is a distinguished Ghanaian actress, producer, screenwriter, and politician. She pursued her education at St. Louis Senior High School in Kumasi and later obtained a diploma in Theatre Arts from the University of Ghana’s Institute of African Studies. Gomashie’s career in the arts began in 1985 when she joined the Talents Theatre Company. She gained prominence as the producer and scriptwriter for “By The Fire Side,” a Ghana Television program that used storytelling to encourage children’s reading skills. Transitioning into politics, Gomashie served as the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts from 2013 to 2017 under President John Dramani Mahama. In 2020, she was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Ketu South Constituency on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket. In January 2025, President Mahama nominated her as the Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts. Beyond her professional endeavors, Gomashie is a queen mother in the Aflao Traditional Area, holding the title of Development Queen Mother (Mamaga Designee) of the Aflao Traditional Area.
George Opare Addo

Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment – Ghana
