Mr. Kwame Oduro-Owusu officially welcomed all participants, including the facilitator, and emphasized the importance of the workshop in enhancing early childhood education.
According to exclusive information received by GH Educate, the workshop was held over two days. On Thursday, March 20, 2025, teachers from the Besoro, Kumawu, and Bodomase Circuits attended their session at Kumawu Presbyterian Church. The second session took place on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Oyoko Methodist Church for teachers from the Banko and Dedease Circuits.
The primary objective of the workshop was to train KG teachers on the effective use of KG Assessment Tools. These tools are essential for evaluating the learning progress of young children and ensuring that teaching methods align with the expected educational outcomes.
Madam Christiana Serwaa Appau, the Early Childhood Coordinator for the Nkawie District, served as the facilitator. She led the training sessions and guided teachers on various strategies for assessing KG learners. Through interactive discussions and practical demonstrations, teachers gained valuable insights into different assessment methods tailored to early childhood education.
