On March 28, 2025, the Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) visited selected pre-tertiary schools to observe National Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Day.
In order to ensure the effective implementation of the CPD program, a team of officials, including the Director-General, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis; Deputy Director-General (Management Services), Prof. Smile Dzisi; Director of Guidance and Counseling, Mrs. Gifty Bremansu; Greater Accra Regional Director, Hajia Katumi Natogma Attah; the Municipal Director for Korley Klottey; among others, visited schools in Accra to monitor the exercise.

Teachers across the country participated in the National CPD Day, which focused on mental health and psychosocial well-being. The event emphasized the importance of supporting teachers’ emotional and psychological needs.
Reports indicate that this initiative was organized by GES in collaboration with the National Teaching Council (NTC). The CPD Day aimed to equip teachers with essential tools and strategies to manage stress, build resilience, and enhance overall well-being.
