The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the commencement of the 2025 Inter-Regional and Inter/Intra-District reposting process for teaching and non-teaching staff across the country.
Beginning Friday, 2nd May 2025, GES staff may start acquiring assurance letters from their preferred districts. The issuance of these assurance letters will run until Monday, 2nd June 2025. Staff members interested in reposting must follow this step before advancing to the next stage of the process.
According to Angela Frimpomaa Nkansah (Ms.), Director of Human Resource Management and Development (HRMD), all applications must follow established procedures. Staff can only be released from their current stations once they receive official reposting approval from the GES Director-General.
Regional Directors are required to compile and submit a list of all staff who have received assurance to the GES Headquarters by Monday, 3rd June 2025. Following this, official Inter-Regional reposting applications to the GES Headquarters will open on Tuesday, 1st July 2025.
Approved reposting will take effect from the start of the next academic year in September 2025.
GES emphasizes that this reposting initiative is part of broader efforts to promote equitable staff distribution, professional growth, and operational efficiency within Ghana’s education sector.
