GEOP Triumph: Ministry of Education Wins 2024 GOVTECH Prize for Inclusive Excellence in Ghana

The Ministry of Education – Ghana has emerged as the winner of the GOVTECH prize, being recognized as the foremost distinguished entity in the Education Service Category by the UAE Government during the 2024 GOVTECH Prize, a prestigious segment of the World Government Summit.

The acclaimed accolade celebrates the remarkable success of the Ghana Education Outcomes Project (GEOP), particularly its pivotal role in reintegrating 17,340 Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) learners into mainstream schools and significantly enhancing learning outcomes through innovative interventions within a span of one year.

Amidst stiff competition, where more than a thousand applicants vied for the first position in the Education Service Category, our Ministry emerged victorious. This triumph is a testament to the impactful initiatives carried out in collaboration with GEOP, an additional funding project operating under Ghana Accountability Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP).

This esteemed recognition serves to reaffirm the unwavering commitment of His Excellency, The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, to fostering equitable and inclusive education. The focus on reintegrating children into mainstream education aligns seamlessly with the broader vision of providing quality education accessible to all.
