Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, joined the groundbreaking ceremony of the 161kV Anwomaso–Kumasi Transmission Line Reconstruction Project.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, together with Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, the Minister for Energy and Green Transition; representatives from the EU, the French Embassy, AFD, GRIDCo, and other stakeholders, were present at the occasion.
In a brief address at the event, Hon. Amoakohene emphasized the important role of the 161kV Anwomaso–Kumasi Transmission Line project. He indicated that the project will enhance energy reliability in Kumasi, supporting the city’s fast-growing population and industrial base.
The Minister expressed his appreciation to the team present for their strong partnerships in driving Ashanti’s transformation.
