Mr. Alex Kwabena Korankye, popularly known in media circles as General K.K., has officially been appointed as the Media Coordination Manager for the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA). The announcement was made public through a post shared on his official Facebook page, where he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the people of Cape Coast in this new capacity.
Mr. Korankye is an experienced broadcast journalist and currently serves as the General Manager of Live FM in Cape Coast. In addition to his managerial duties, he is also the host of the station’s political morning show, where he has earned a strong following for his insightful analysis and interviews.
Since 2021, Mr. Korankye has received numerous awards in recognition of his outstanding contributions to media and public discourse in the Central Region.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Korankye had been working closely with the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly’s media team. Reports indicate that he played a key role behind the scenes, offering strategic communication support and helping to shape the Assembly’s public image.
The Cape Coast Mayor, Hon. George Justice Arthur, expressed confidence in Mr. Korankye’s ability to use his extensive experience in radio broadcasting to elevate the image of the Cape Coast Metropolis. The Mayor noted that the appointment is part of the efforts to strengthen the Assembly’s public engagement and visibility through professional media coordination.
