Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr is making headlines with its ambitious pursuit of Ghanaian internationals Mohammed Kudus and Thomas Teye Partey, which they aim to beef up their squad with top tier talent from the Premier League.
Mohammed Kudus the 24-year old attacking midfielder currently with West Ham United has emerged as a prime target. Al Nassr has reportedly tabled a baiting offer of €13 million per year which amount to a €1 million monthly salary to lure Kudus to the Saudi Pro League. This move would see him join a star rocketing lineup alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané.
Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023 for £38 million and has since become one of Europe’s most sought after talents. His contract includes a release clause of £85 million which Al Nassr is reportedly willing to meet or negotiate. Despite the lucrative offer Kudus appears inclined to remain with the East London club for another season as he value the stability and prospects at West Ham.
In addition to Kudus, Al Nassr is reportedly eyeing Arsenal’s Thomas Partey. The 31 year old defensive midfielder has been a mainstay in Arsenal’s lineup since his £45 million move from Atlético Madrid in 2020. While specific details of Al Nassr’s offer for Partey remain undisclosed, the club’s interest signifies its intent to strengthen its midfield with experienced international players.
Al Nassr’s aggressive recruitment strategy emphasizes the Saudi Pro League’s ambition to attract world class talent and elevate the league’s global profile. The potential acquisition of Kudus and Partey would not only enhance Al Nassr’s competitiveness but also reflect the growing influence of Middle Eastern clubs in the global football transfer market.
