GES Welcomes Prof. Smile Gavua Dzisi as New Deputy Director-General (MS)

John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, has appointed Prof. Smile Gavua Dzisi as the new Acting Deputy Director-General – Management Services.

Professor Smile Gavua Dzisi started her career as a teacher at St. Roses Secondary School in Akwatia. In 1999, she was appointed a lecturer at Koforidua Polytechnic, now Koforidua Technical University. In August 2015, she became the first female rector of Koforidua Technical University.

She later served as Vice-Chancellor of Koforidua Technical University. Prof. Dzisi has held several positions within the institution, including Head of Marketing, Campus Coordinator, Director of Research and New Programmes, Acting Deputy Registrar (Academic), and Head of the Department of Purchasing and Supply.

Prof. Dzisi will succeed Mr. Stephen Kwaku Owusu.

GES has extended its congratulations to Prof. Dzisi on her appointment and warmly welcomed her to the role.
