Chief Joseph Kweku Quagrainie, an alumnus of Mfantsipim School, has emerged victorious in the 13th Word Power Competition for the second half (2H) of 2024, securing 1st position after a fierce and determined performance.
The competition, held on Friday, 27th September 2024, saw Chief Joseph clinch the top spot by demonstrating his exceptional word formation skills.
According to reports, Chief Joseph was able to form an impressive 266 words from the given test word: “REGIMENTAL.” This achievement surpasses the minimum requirement of 70 words by a significant 196-word margin, showcasing his linguistic prowess. He formed 25 more words than the second-placed contestant.
Mfantsipim Old Boys have congratulated Chief Joseph for this remarkable accomplishment. His victory marks the seventh time he has been declared the winner during the 2H 2024 series of the weekly Word Power Competition.
His success has been met with great pride from the Mfantsipim community, as he continues to be a shining example of the school’s motto, “Dwen Hwe Kan,” which means “Think and Look Ahead.”
Chief Joseph Kweku Quagrainie, affectionately known as the MOBA (Mfantsipim Old Boys Association) anchor man, has proven himself to be a formidable competitor and a worthy torchbearer of Mfantsipim School’s legacy.
