At a media engagement yesterday, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia addressed a number of questions ‘thrown’ at him by media persons from all parts of the country. Questions raised centered on what has been on the minds of many Ghanaians over the period.

When asked why the Vice President hasn’t implemented all the promises he’s made, he responded that it is so he will have some more to do if he becomes the President. To many, Dr. Bawumia’s response emphasizes the constraints of his current position. Yet to others it is to clearly articulate the importance of having a clear vision for the future.

“I am not the president; I don’t have full authority,” Bawumia stated firmly. He suggested that his current role limits his ability to execute all his ideas.

“I must have a manifesto. Otherwise, if I do everything now, what will I do when I come to office? I mean, how can you do everything now? Even Mahama, who was president, why didn’t he do everything then? Why is he coming back? He had full authority, but I don’t have full authority,”
