Kumawood star actor Kwaku Manu’s marriage to Okailey Nyarko has ended in a dramatic style after nearly 14 years. The couple, who share four children, appeared to have a strong relationship until recently.
This comes as a shocking news to most Ghanaians both home and abroad. Kwaku was seen on several occasions praising and adoring his wife. Interviews abound on social media where the Kumawood man made lovely comments about Okailey.
In one of such interviews with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the ever-popular Delay Show, Kwaku admitted having extra-marital affairs at the back of his wife. Many have taken to social media to post the video to suggest that it might be a contributing factor to the couple’s divorce.
According to reports, Kwaku Manu sponsored Nyarko’s stay abroad while he continued his work in Ghana.
However, during her time abroad, the dynamics of their relationship began to take a different turn.
Sources close to the couple has it that Okailey became distant, often ignoring Kwaku Manu’s missed calls and WhatsApp messages, citing various reasons.
Three years later, the marriage has officially collapsed. Okailey has moved on, remarrying, this time to a an American. The man whose name we only know as Tim as spotted on their wedding cake is seen seen in showing love to her newly wedded Okailey everywhere in pictures and videos. Reports has it that Okailey has already secured a Green Card.
The marriage ceremony saw popular social media content creators living abroad showing up. Notable among them is Obaa Cee who after the event has been making a lot of videos about the divorce. It is suspected that the tiktok influencer was purposefully invited to give attention to the rather simple wedding on social media.

Meanwhile, Kwaku Manu continues his stay in Ghana. Social media enthusiasts say Kwaku has now transitioned into a role as a motivational speaker and marriage counselor, sharing his experiences with others on social media. He is also seen in a few videos where he is granting interviews about the infamous divorce.

On the other side, Okailey is seen in a video in her new home advising Ghanaians not to fight any war on her behalf. As the video rolls, the new husband passes through to say ‘hi’ and lands pecks on her forehead and lips. In a separate video Okailey is seen asking Obaa Cee to help her promote her facebook page. This has gotten many wondering whether this whole divorce and remarrying ‘issue’ is actually real.
For now, no one knows what actually happened or is happening. While some believe this could be a charade to attract social media following, others think it was conspired to secure Green Card for the lady. Yet some others are of the view that this is real and Kwaku needs to see a Counsellor to ‘tame’ him psychologically.
